As well as being weather enthusiasts, the EOTS team love travelling, and in particular, the great outdoors! This section covers some of our out-and-about exploits, including holidays, hiking and general activities not associated with the weather.

Isles of Scilly
In August 2003 and May 2004, we spent a week each time on the Isles of Scilly. The group of almost 100 tiny islands lie about 25 miles south-west of Cornwall, and enjoy an almost sub-tropical climate, with warm summers and mild winters. These largely unspoilt islands have some of the UK's most stunning and tranquil beaches, together with unique plants and animals. A little bit of paradise in the corner of England!

West Cornwall Coast Path
In May 2004, we spent 5 days touring the beautiful West Cornwall Coast Path. Although the path stretches through Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, we opted to complete roughly 50 miles of the path, around the edge of west Cornwall. The path takes in some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere in the United Kingdom. Amidst the best weather of the summer, we lived out of rucksacks for a week, camping between walks.

Cadair Idris, Snowdonia
In September 2002, Bren embarked on a hike up one of north Wales' most stunning mountains. Cadair Idris is composed of several peaks, with the highest peak, Penygadair standing at almost 900m above sea level. Together with his dad and Beej, he completed the walk in good time, and here are a few photographs from the day.
