St. Martin's
Isles Of Scilly
St Martin's in the most north-easterly of the inhabited islands. It has superb beaches once again, as well as some fairly high ground. Three main villages are set across the islands. Firstly, Higher Town on the south side of the island has a few shops and a cafe. Middle Town comprises of mostly houses and a small campsite, whereas Lower Town has a shop and a delightful pub called the Seven Stones Inn.

A
friendly local who kept us company whilst we ate lunch....
...and
another friendly local, a songthrush, who also was begging for some sandwich...
...and
yet another friendly local, a lovely Westy who we met in Lower Town...
....
but much to our concern, he followed us for the rest of the afternoon, back
to Higher Town on the other side of the island! We hope he got home safely!

tip of St. Martin's.
St.
Martin's hills provide some of the largest sea-cliffs on the Isles of Scilly,
despite the island being only half a mile wide at most.
