8th May 2003, Castle Douglas, Scotland
This is particularly striking as a "V" seemed to be radiating from the sun. It shows up pretty well on this picture but not as well as it was in reality.

A rainbow forms as an evening thunderstorm passes by. This

This was a magnificent picture of the right hand side of a giant cumulonimbus anvil. The cloud reached so high the base isn't visible. This particulay Cumulonimbus gave about 30 mins of torrential rain and hail

18th May 2003, Greater Manchester
Taken from my garden, facing westwards, during the approach of a thunderstorm. Sun stayed out until storm was well underway, creating the "halo" like image of the sun's rays contrasting with the cumulonimbus clouds.

18th May 2003, Machynlleth-Llanidloes Hill 1km W of Dylife, Central Wales
Back edge of electrified multicellular convective complex which tracked from SW Eire (midday) to the Welsh coast (6pm) then intensified and gave 12mm hail in Worcester later that evening. It was still giving sferics over the E Midlands long after dark. Research into what this feature was is ongoing!

passed over SW Glasgow
