May 2003, Castle Douglas, Scotland
This
is particularly striking as a "V" seemed to be radiating from the
sun. It shows up pretty well on this picture but not as well as it was in
reality.

May 2003, Greater Manchester
Taken
from my garden, facing westwards, during the approach of a thunderstorm. Sun
stayed out until storm was well underway, creating the "halo" like
image of the sun's rays contrasting with the cumulonimbus clouds.
