The following videos were all filmed and compiled in Weybridge, Surrey in December 2005 and much of 2006.

Each video is around 2-3 minutes long, in 320x240 resolution,
and typically 4-8mb in size.

December 2005

Monday 5th

Stratocumulus all day, streaming in from the north-west. Sunny glimpses in the morning and early afternoon, allowing views of cirrus.

Tuesday 6th

Broken stratocumulus, moving from the north, allowing sunny spells AM. Mostly overcast PM, with flow turning briefly north-easterly.

Wednesday 7th

Sunny start, with frost on roof. Increase in cirrus, then altocumulus, then stratus by evening, on approaching warm front. 22 degree halo at 14:15 above roof.

Thursday 8th

Overcast, drizzle at times. Cloud movement turning from north-west to north-east. Marked clearance of cloud to sunshine after 15:00. Clear evening.

Friday 16th

A mixed day of cumulus, stratocumulus and sunny spells. Sheets of cirrus arrive later in the afternoon. All clouds moving from a northerly direction.

Saturday 17th

A fine winter day, with almost completely clear, sunny skies. However, aircraft contrails moving with a northerly flow fill the sky by evening.

Sunday 18th

Sunny morning and early afternoon, with plane contrails. Sudden arrival of stratocumulus from the west by 14:15, as warm front nears.

Saturday 31st

A mixture of stratocumulus, altocumulus and cirrus through the day, all from a south-west direction. Prolonged clear skies later.

January 2006

Friday 6th

A cold day with easterly winds. Cumulus from the east and altocumulus from the south-east through the day. Some blue skies.

Wednesday 11th

Classic cold front clearance. Stratus to cirrus, then blue skies. Brief sun halo at 11:50. Brief sundog at 12:20 just above roof.

Monday 16th

Clear, sunny start. Cirrus/contrails then moving south-eastwards. Sudden arrival of strato-cumulus from 09:10, moving north.

Friday 20th

Overcast at first. Squall moving through mid-morning (watch blowing trees). Sudden cold front clearance, then sunny afternoon.

Sunday 22nd

Moon passes by on a clear morning. Stratocu from east at 11:30am. This changes direction numerous times before alto-cu and cirrus move in.

Tuesday 24th

Another contrail-fest. The moon crosses the shot during the morning once again. Then, cirrus and contrails from the west.

Wednesday 25th

Morning freezing fog left melting frost and snow grains on roof. Dry day, low strato-cu from north-east and sunny spells.

Thursday 26th

A straight-forward day of sunshine and passing Cu/Strato-cu moving from the north-east. Nothing exciting, but nice to see the sun!

February 2006

Wednesday 8th

Dry and sunny at first. Cumulus building from 10:00am, becoming extensive during the afternoon. First signs of spring convection.

Tuesday 14th

Valentine's Day starts off with passing Cu from the south-west. Cu grows to give several showers during the afternoon.

Thursday 16th

Trough during the morning clears before noon to leave sunshine. 3 seperate troughs give hail and heavy showers during the afternoon.

Thursday 23rd

A two hour section of the day, showing snow settling as evaporative cooling took place. Effect on trees in this short video here.

Sunday 26th

Cloudy morning with snow grains (not seen on camera). Sunny spells and various clouds from the north in afternoon.

March 2006

Thursday 9th

Rainfall turns nasty. Brief break in video at 15:40 indicates where CG lightning knocked out power. Showers late afternoon.

Thursday 23rd

Sunshine and variable amounts of high cirrus. High cloud increases during the afternoon. Very brief sundog above roof at 15:45.

Tuesday 28th

A blustery spring morning with sunny spells and cumulus from the south-west. Cumulus building to give afternoon showers.

April 2006

Sunday 2nd

A typical day of sunshine and blustery showers. The heaviest downpours occurred during the early afternoon, moving in from the west.
Tuesday 4th A good shear day, with cirrus moving from west to east, and cumulus from north to south. Halo visible between 12:15 and 13:15.
Sunday 9th A sunny start, then Cu build-up. One small shower by mid-afternoon, followed by thunder-storm, gust front and falling hail.

Sunday 16th

High level altocumulus blanket, with lower cumulus, from the west. Cold front approaches, with light rain in the afternoon. Clouds turn north-west.
Monday 17th A day of sunshine and passing Cu, from the west. The Cu occasionally spreading out to give strato-Cu.
Tuesday 18th Sunny start, but a rapid Cu build-up with cirrus above. Fair afternoon, but Cu building enough for shower at 18:30.
Wednesday 19th Universal cirrus sheet above cumulus, due to weak warm front. Cold front arrives in the evening, clearing to fair conditions.

May 2006

Thursday 4th

A nice late-spring day, with cirrus from the south. Southerly plume arrives during the afternoon, marked by AcCas from the south.
Friday 5th Southerly flow, giving unusually hot 28C for early May. Cumulus at times, from south-west, then south. Whole day video (10mb)
Saturday 6th Fine start. Soon cloudier as plume rain moves north. AcCas based destroyed by down-drafts. Cloud motion from many directions.
Sunday 7th Very slack, southerly flow. Showers develop, die, and redevelop. Crepuscular rays develop for a time (afternoon video only).
Monday 8th Overcast, unusually dark morning. Line of heavy rain becoming torrential around 06:30am with thunder. Increasing cloud bases for rest of day.
Tuesday 9th Stratus breaking to leave cumulus from west. Altocumulus from east above this. Cumulus meeting convergence line later, dissolving on impact.
Wednesday 10th Mist and stratus, moving up Thames overnight, thins and breaks leaving hazy sunshine. Patchy Cu develops. No hint of 'Reading Storm', to north & west.
Saturday 13th Low stratus, strato cumulus and cumulus moving from the west. This breaking in the afternoon to reveal cirrus moving from south-west.
Monday 22nd Unusually deep low passes to north across Midlands. Spiral rain bands around low come in first from south, then west, then north-west. Wind evident.
Tuesday 23rd Cirrus from south-west and cumulus from west. Showers developing, especially during the afternoon. A very blustery day, as seen by trees.
Wednesday 24th Cirrus & cumulus AM. Frontal cirrus increasing PM. 22* halo at top of video between 12:30 & 15:30. Passing heavy showers PM. Frontal rain by 18:30.
Sunday 28th Cirrus standing wave 'undulations' AM. Cumulus developing beneath cirrus and altocu. High clouds moving faster than low clouds relative to viewer.
Monday 29th Sunshine & showers, the showers from north-west. Noteable shower at 17:45, with high winds. Showers then turn from northly direction. Clear night.

June 2006
Saturday 3rd An unusual day across the UK - not a cloud in the sky, bar contrails and late cirrus. Moon visible (top right) for a time in the evening.
Sunday 4th Cirrus & contrails from NW AM. Brief halo top left at 12:45. Cirrocu then altocu PM, with AcCas, high based CBs & shower in evening. Moon visible.
Tuesday 6th Cirrus and cumulus from north/north-east, gradually turning more north-west. More developed Cu in afternoon. Moon visible after 20:30.
Wednesday 7th Cu/AltoCu from north AM, and cirrus from north-east. More developed Cu/TCu PM. High-based t-storm by 18:00, and another nearby at 20:00.
Thursday 8th A clear start. Cloud increasing by late-morning. An afternoon of Cu and Alto Cu, including curious 'pulsing' cumulus, developing and dying in situ.
Friday 9th An almost totally clear day. However, moisture amounts can be seen increasing through the day, leading to tiny Cu for a time.
Sunday 11th High cloud from the south all day. Halo visible, particularly top-right of image after 2pm. Becoming totally clear after 7:30pm.
   
July 2006
 
Thursday 27th Ac and Cirrus in the morning from south. Pulsing Cu in the afternoon. Weybridge backbuilding thunderstorms developing from 4pm to 7pm.
Sunday 30th Low cloud breaking to leave Cu from south-west and Cirrus from south. Only Cu by late-morning. Variable Cu from the west in the afternoon.
Monday 31st Fast-moving Cu from south-west AM. Light showers developing after 1pm, but dry again after 3pm. Cirrus and Ac from west after 6pm.
   
August 2006
 
Wednesday 16th Ac and Cirrus increasing from south AM as front approaches. Showery clouds by late-morning. Gust-front at 14:20, then multi-directional clouds.
Thursday 17th Clouds at various levels from SE AM (distrail at 08:10). Variable Cu, Ac and Ci from south PM. Large cirrus banks in the evening.
Friday 18th Ac from SE and Cu from east AM. A few showers PM, as cloud direction rolls from SE to SW. Variable cloud from south-west evening.
Tuesday 22nd Cirrus and cumulus from the west during the morning. All cloud increasing as front passes in the afternoon, clearing to sunshine by 18:00.
