In November, 2001, an amazing sunset turned the back edge to
this cold front bright gold in colour.

In
the spring of 2001, we embarked on a day out gliding. We flew until the light
of day faded. This, at sunset, was one of the last flights to take off.
A pleasent late Autumn sunset in Reading, creates a lovely
silhouette of foreground trees.
High banks of undulating cirrus are lit brilliantly by the
setting sun in Reading on the same evening as the previous picture.
As the sun sets on a bitterly cold winter night (Dec 2001)
a red hue lights the horzion behind the Welshn Clwydian hills, the sky completely
clear! The tallest mountain on the horizon is Moel Famau.
Another night, another sunset, but this one equally as stunning
as the last. A few whisps of cirrus reflect the dying sun across the snowfields.
Sunrise
in early December, 2001. In the distance, mist hugs the mid Cheshire Ridge,
including the isolated hump of Beeston Castle. In the foreground is my small
village, called Hope, with the last of the overnight lights slowing disappearing
for another day.
An
amazing fire-red sunset over Hope Mountain as a cold frontal clearance below
the horizon allows a powerful evening sun to filter through.
A
surreal sunset looking out to sea on the Greek Island of Kos. This is taken
looking from a hillside away from the popular resorts, so was as peaceful
as it looks!
After
a day of vicious showers and thunderstorms, the evening calmed down beautifully.
The setting sun illuminates the underside of a dying anvil with another cb
anvil on the horizon.
